In February 2002, Pharmacist Johnny WONG and Pharmacist Wing KWAN established Alliston Family Pharmacy at 180 Parsons Road in Alliston.  The vision was to become the pharmacy care service expert for the residents in New Tecumseth.  16 years later, Pharmacists WONG and KWAN opens their second location in Alliston at 106 Victoria Street West, Ground Floor of Millpond Medical Center.

In the last 20 years, community pharmacies are becoming “shopping destinations” with more variety of products occupying shelves and attention from the operators.  Pharmacists WONG and KWAN have always believed that community pharmacies should remain as healthcare destination where people can find expert health services and products to improve their health.

The mission of the FAMILY PHARMACY team is not to dispense more medications but to ensure “your health alway comes first”.

– answering questions to the best of our knowledge (YES, we will ask a friend if we don’t know the answer 🙂

– providing prescription dispensing service promptly (YES, your time is valuable!!!)

– referring patients to other service providers to get the most appropriate care or products (YES, we refer patients to other pharmacies and we will even call around to help looking for what the patient needs)

– discussing therapeutic options and appropriateness with prescribers (YES, patients may walk out of the FAMILY PHARMACIES without the prescriptions filled because they do not need them)

– answering all phone call directly (YES, no pressing “1” for this and “2” for that)

– simply providing a smile (YES, that’s very therapeutic for both the receiver and the giver)

– Diabetes education (Pharmacist Johnny is a Certified Diabetes Educator with over 8 years of educating experience)

– Menopause transition consultation (Pharmacist Johnny is also a Certified Menopause Practitioner for over 5 years)

– Medication Compounding service (this has opened up endless therapeutics options for prescribers and patients)

– Specialty clinical nutrition consultation (there are many medical conditions that can be modulated with proper nutrition intake and elimination of unhealthy substances from the body)

– Medication review (our pharmacists will try to eliminate unnecessary medications with your prescribers and educate our patients on what they are using)

– Clinical weight management program (our dedicated weight management specialist, Lisa, can help you to reduce medical risks through our pharmacist-supervised weight management protocol)
